About Page: Culinart Photography
Client
Culinart Photography is owned by Carmen Sneed, a food and lifestyle photographer in Silver Spring, MD.
Challenge
The client had just redone her website, but the copy on her About page wasn’t focused on the value she could bring to clients.
It also was unclear what type of clients Carmen was looking for and what impact her photography would have on their business.
Solution
I rewrote Carmen’s About page to focus on the value her photography could add to a client’s brand. Phrases like “stirring emotion,” “sparking appetite,” and “tempt the senses,” connect her photography to the tangible and sensory affects her photos have on people.
Immediately, I differentiate her custom services from stock photos by saying that Culinart will give the reader’s brand the authentic visual appeal, credibility and the “wow factor” to captivate their audience.
I also focus on Carmen’s unique background in photojournalism and architecture to position her as a photographer that can capture thoroughly high-quality and unique images.
In the second section, I call out specific types of clients and the value she can bring to each. This helps connect those clients to Carmen as someone who specializes in their craft.
From describing her high-touch process to her unique and accomplished background, Carmen’s About page helps to foster a connection and trust between her and a potential client. The next logical step is for them to contact her!
